Gloria, well ryttare is a soldier in cavalry. So we know 4 things about her father, he was a postmaster in Östergötland, he lived around 1748 and his name was Jonas (Kindgren). But can we trust this information for 100%? Which information is most unusual? That can help us. The most unusual information is his work, postmaster. At this time only the towns had a postmaster. So a shortcut would be if some swedish friend or somebody here at Anbytarforum maybe can try to look him up these in two books:
O.Kugelberg, Postmästare i Sverige och Finland från äldre till närvarande tid (Stockholm, 1894), Postmasters in Sweden and Finland from the older to the present time.
E. Grape, Postkontor och postmästare (Stockholm, 1951), Post offices and postmasters.
A note, i would try not just look for Kindgren in these two books but all -gren and all -son surnames.
