Det är kanske så att det inte gjordes någon boupp efter Ida men jag hade nog dubbelkollat ändå.
Jag har ett långskott här...med tanke på Jonas Svensson...jag kan också vara ute och cykla lite men det kan kanske vara värt att gräva mer i detta ??
Jonas och Ida hade ytterligare en son, John Robert Ernst, som var född 17/1 1883. Han reste till N Amerika i mitten på maj 1900 enligt Högby AIIa:1 (1895-1906) sid 161.
Jag hittar följande obit i The Weekly Pioneer-Times (Deadwood, South Dakota) 20/1 1933:
Old Time Resident Died At Gayville Yesterday John Swanson, 77, an old time resident of the Black Hills died at the county infirmary at Gayville yesterday morning from heart disease. He was admitted to the institution five days ago being brought in from his home near Brownsville, where he had resided for the last 20 years, by Sam Beardshear, Nemo, county commissioner. Deceased was born in Sweden, coming to the United States when a young man. He is survived by a son, who is an inmate of the North Dakota state hospital at Jamestown. The body is at the Schulte Mortuary, this city. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral Services for John Swanson Monday Funeral services for the late John Swanson, 77, long time resident of the Brownsville country who died Thursday morning at the county infirmary at Gayville, will be held from the Schulte Mortuary in this city at 2:30 o´clock Monday afternoon. Rev. Dan J Rueb pastor of the First Baptist church will be in charge of the services. Interment will be made in Mt. Moriah cemetery.

Han fanns där även i census 1920 och 1940. Och det verkar som om han dog där 1966 enligt findagrave: https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=157455822&ref=acom
Här är namnet John R Swanson.
Jag hittar följande artikel i The Ward County Independent (Minot, North Dakota) den 1/6 1916 (under state news):
Sheriff H. J Slaughter took John R Swanson from Sanish to Stanley last Friday. Swanson was taken before the insanity board on Monday of this week and he was declared insane. He will probably be taken to Jamestown today where he will be placed in the asylum.

Vet du någonting mer om John Robert Ernst? Kan inte se att han kom hem igen...men John Swanson är väldigt vanligt så detta kan röra sig om en helt annan far och son. Dessutom så står det i obit att John Swanson kom till USA som en ung man...räknas 33 år som en ung man 1933?? Ville ändå nämna detta långskott :)
Jag hittar inte John Robert Ernst i några passagerarlistor 1900....hm?
