Hi Lance!

Organist Samuel Tållander (Tollander) and his wife Elin Månsdotter at Sandtäppan (CI:1 Rönö page 244).

There is an estate inventory for Samuel Tollander living at Tollanderstorp, Rönö dated 1777-04-10 (Björkekinds häradsrätt FII:9 p 651 = Björkekinds jurisdictional district court). Date of death 1777-03-28 (CI:1 Rönö p 471), died of a chest infection, 50 years old. The estate inventory list the names of 5 children, Carl Magnus 19 years, Erik Gustaf 16, Samuel 14, Daniel 10 and Stina Lena (Christina Helena) 7. The widow, Elin Månsdotter.

Sometimes Tollanders wife has the first name Elin, sometimes Lena or Helena....Look at the childrens birth records: 1758-05-13, 1763-05-16, 1767-07-17 and 1770-11-11. When she married Samuel Tollander in 1757-04-21 (CI:1 Rönö p 526), she is named Lena Månsdotter from Gräsbrink.

She died in Börrum parish (E), E = Östergötland, in 1825-11-29 (C:2 Börrum p 104). Born i Rönö 1730-03-28 according to the death notice.  - CI:1 Rönö p 129 *1730-03-28 Elin - Måns Svensson at Gräsbrink. She is listed in the parish record, Meltorpet, Börrum as born at Ö Ny parish!

Hr Inspector (Hr = Mr) Bökman at Rönö, Daniel Nilsson at Öfergård (Övergård), Lars Mattisson ibid = at the same place, , dr Göstaf Göstafsson (Gustaf Gustafsson) at Rönö, wife Kerstin Ständers?dotter at Ålbäck, pigan = maid, Elin Nilsdotter at Övergård, Carin Eriksdotter i Mörje.

By the way, I saw your question this morning about a child born at Björkelund, Motala. I did not have a chance to answer as I have other things to do than researching...Anyway, I live in the area called Björkelund, a part of Motala, my hometown. About 200 meters from Göta Kanal.
