It would be of great help if you can give us the year, not only dates, because the page numbers are not the same on SVAR and AD (Arkiv Digital, which has much better photos).

Dear Leif
The year is 1767.
Many thanks

Thank you Rodney.
Eva was born Oct 15 and baptised Nov 15 (probably because of weather and that the priest did not visit the place so often).
Eva was born "before marriage", parents were Johan Persson and Justina Anundsdotter i Arjeplog. Witnesses were Jacob Persson and his wife Karin, Anders Sjulsson and his wife Anna, Catrina Anundsdotter all from Sorsele, farmhand Per Persson from Norra Västerbyn.

Is the birth in Sorsele also 1767?

Dear Leif
Many thanks.
Both records are from 1767.
Best wishes

Dear Rodney, it´s so nice to be able to help you and also rest a while in the middle of all snow shoveling many Swedes have to do these days. Here is the Sorsele text:
/mother, not said, but must be:/ The woman engaged to be married Justina, Måns Pers/sons/ daughter´s daughter Eva; from Arjeplog; responsible (I suppose that means he is responsible for being the father of Eva) Jan Persson from Arjeplog and Raktjölen (sami name?). God parents: Jacob Persson and his wife Karin, Anders Sjulsson and his wife Anna from Sorsele, and Catharina and Per Persson from Arjeplog.
The congregations with both Swedes and sami in those times are very interesting.

Dear Leif
Many thanks for your help.
I have not seen a baptism recorded in 2 different places before.
Tracing Sami ancestors is very interesting but at times complex.
Justina seems to be the Kerstin from an earlier post (reply 15 onwards):

Good luck with the snow!
Best wishes
