Titel: Further translation of a death record
Skrivet av: Candace Medeiros skrivet 2018-02-18, 03:19
My ancestor Erik Jonsson was born in 1714 and died at Dalfors Bruk, Ore Parish, Kopparberg in 1772. In his death record, I can read his wife's (Kiersten Pehrsdotter) name, that they had five children, but am wondering what the rest says. I am looking for clues as to where and when (day and month) he was born. I can't seem to find Erik before the 1740-1750 AI:3 household records in Ore.

His parents are mentioned: Jon Ersson and [--] Jonsdotter. Two of his five children were dead. He died of 'epidemic fever', 58 years old.

Where did you find the page?

Strange. I cannot find any Ore death records between 1712 and 1775 (Arkiv Digital and Riksarkivet/Svar).

Thank you, I found it. Still, I cannot read the first name of his mother.
Seems to start with a C, maybe Car. (Carin; Carolina).
