Hi, this is my first post. I am stuck and I hope you all might be able to help me. I am looking for the parents of Nils Nilsson Edholm from Oviken (1833-1926). His second wife was Anna Christina Andersdotter from Ragunda (1841-1894). Thank you in advance.

Nils Nilsson was born Nov. 18, half past 7 pm, 1833, in Yttergärde in Oviken. His parents Tingsprofossen Nils Hansson born 1785 and his wife Märeth Jönsdotter born 1793. Sources Oviken C:4 (1812-1861) Bild 840 / sid 155 (AID: v115069.b840.s155, NAD: SE/ÖLA/11086) and Oviken AI:7 (1827-1838) Bild 2370 / sid 226 (AID: v115053.b2370.s226, NAD: SE/ÖLA/11086). I don't know how you make your research and those are references to electronically available records from ArkivDigital, subscription needed, but it is possible to read those sources through other agencies.

Thank you for your help. I do not know what the word "Tingsprofossen" means. I tried the translator but nothing came back. I am from the US and do not speak Swedish.

Ting = court, county court, and the profoss was a person that delivered punishments, but I don't know more about what that involved.

For "Tingsprofossen" I would suggest the term "Court Marshal".
