Titel: translation for Brandstad 1795 tax registry
Skrivet av: George Lind skrivet 2018-09-21, 03:46
Attached are two images from the Brandstad tax registry of 1795.
This is for Isac Torkelsson at Number 25 Brandstad.  He is the last entry for Number 25.
I believe it says Isac Torkelsson, wife and ends with 1 child.
Can anyone make out the words after wife and before child.
Can anyone also make out the message on the far right of the page.

First I am not sure this is Isac, think it says Pål (Paul). But, the name of the wife is Margreta (Margret).
And on the right page it says tiggare ( beggar)

Hi!

Yes it is not Isak but Pål. Also this time they do not write the name Törkel as in the earlier taxation documents, but Toerkiells I think. After wife it says Pig: Margreta. Piga can be either a female rural domestic worker or a daughter to the farmer.
