I am looking for information on my 2nd great-grandfater Gustof Petersson and his daughter (my great-grandmother) Sofia.
Gustof was born 19 March 1837 in Tisselskog, Sweden and died 16 February, 1912, probably in Port Chester, NY. He married Anna Cajsa Larsdotter (1826-1906) but I’m not sure when. A US Census record for 1910 suggests 1860, but Sofia was born 17 February 1855 in Steneby, Sweden (assuming I have the correct Sofia). The next child (for which I have a record), Christina, was not born until 1861. The family moved to Undenäs before the next child was born, then Motala and Norrköpping before emigration to the USA.
I would like to know the names and dates of Gustof’s parents. Also, is there a record that shows Gustof is the biological father of Sofia and is there a Swedish marriage record. This probably only matters with respect to identifying DNA cousins.
Anna Cajsa’s ancestors a better documented.

Gustaf was born in Tisselskog 19 March 1837, according to Tisselskog birth record C/4 page 17.
His parents:
Peter Andersson, born 26 June 1805 in Steneby and
Stina Andersdotter, born 1801 30 June in Ödskölt.
Gustaf and Anna Cajsa married in Steneby 16 December 1860

It is not likely that Gustaf was Sofias father as she was born 5 years before the marriage.

Sofia - I agree. I believe Anna Cajsa was a "servant" presumably in a house or farm in Steneby about the time Sofia was conceived.
