Titel: Help translating parish record notes.
Skrivet av: Bradley Bystrom skrivet 2019-02-05, 19:31

I have been stuck for several days trying to translate notes on two parish church records. The first is regarding the notes on line 23 from Götebrogs Oscar Fredriks AIIa:33 image 171 line 23 (see attachment). What has he not been absolved from, and where did he move to. The notes appear to say "7th" something. And it looks like he moves to someplace called "Vasa Varden" but I cannot find anything close to that.

The second note (see attachment) is from Göteborgs Oscar Fredriks AI:20 page 2657 (same individual). On line 3 what is "Le Ankönslängden!" mean? I believe the additional notes are simply carried over from a previous parish record in which he was sentenced on Feb. 1 1882 for first time burglary to two years loss of citizens rights in addition to six months penalty. Then on Oct. 9 1884 for fourth time theft to four years hard labor and loss of citizens rights for five more years.

I am stuck and any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think it says "Vasa Vården" (no idea) and "Se saköreslängden" (which refers to some court records I think).

He made a crime against 7th Commandment (budet), Thou shalt not steal. He moves to Vasa Vården, a hospital for mostly elderly people, and you find him in Göteborgs Vasa AIIa:12 (1912-1929) Bild 40 / sid 2237 (AID: v82580.b40.s2237, NAD: SE/GLA/15475) via Göteborgs Vasa BI:2 (1912-1915) Bild 227 / sid 446 (AID: v82602.b227.s446, NAD: SE/GLA/15475).

Many thanks Ronny and Leif! I have been struggling for days trying to figure this out on my own without success.

Can you tell me where he goes when he leaves?
Göteborgs Vasa AII:12 Bild 40 / Sid 2237 reads that he leaves in 1918 for "obef seg"?

Obefintligas register = unknown residence. Persons that are no longer where they were previously registered and the parish don't know where they have gone. They are listed there until a new residence is known, or forever. Sometimes. as here, in a separate volume, in this case Göteborgs Vasa AIII:1 (1908-1935) Bild 1560 / sid 153 (AID: v209346.b1560.s153, NAD: SE/GLA/15475). ,He died 1923-08-10 and Vasa got a death record from Ljungby Kronobergs län, Göteborgs Vasa F:3 (1922-1931) Bild 64 / sid 60 (AID: v82623.b64.s60, NAD: SE/GLA/15475). That death record is also in Ljungby F:2 (1907-1925) Bild 91 / sid 83 (AID: v166875.b91.s83, NAD: SE/VALA/00229), but as you ca see he has no page reference, i.e. he was not registered in Ljungby, but he died from tuberculosis at Ljungby Lasarett.

I have read that "genealogy thrives on kindness" and it is true. Many thanks.
