So do the comments Mantalsfri [pays no tax] and the Vanför [physically disabled] from the husförhörlangd notations column mean that the disabled farmer paid no tax or that the disabled farmer lived on tax-free land?
And if the farmer was exempt from tax due to a disability, is it likely that there would be notations somewhere [church records?] that describe his disability?
