My great grandmother was from HÄLSINGLAND. I do not know the parish or her birthdate. Her name was Kaijsa Elisabeth Helsing (or perhaps) Hälsing. Her father's name was Peter Helsing. She married Johanas Fredrick Johnson from Värmland who she met at University of Uppsala. Johanas was born in 1851 so I assume she was born in 1851-1854. They ere Lutheran. Their first daughter was born in Sweden and was named Alma. They migrated to Fergus Falls, MN before 1881. I would be interested in learning her Parish in Sweden and if any family still resides there. Why would her name be Helsing rather than Petersdottir?
