When Johan Viktor emigrated 10/5 1884 and Per Gottfrid 25/1 1888 they had the surname Karlsson. All the other boys were called Widoff in the parish book 1881-1891. Jonas was not a soldier. There were just 19 people in Sweden 1890 called Widoff. One of them was born in Madesjö (1854). He dosn?t seem to be a relative but he was born in the same village as Karl lived with his father and sister before he got married in 1863. The parents didn?t have the name Widoff. Karl was not born in Madesjö but in Älghult 26/9 1841. His father was Jonas Jacobsson born 28/9 1803 in Älghult.
