My Great Great Grandparents were Johannes Jonsson b-2/17/1779 - and Boel Bengtsdotter b-3/9/1800 -- they had 10 children - my Grandfather Mons was born 3/3/1826 - he emigrated to America in 1865 - they lived in Sirekopinge, Malmohus - I am going to be in this area July 8-12/ 2011 and want to find the church they attended - try to find graves of my relatives and hopefully find a relative still living in the area. My Grandfather's brothers & sisters names were - Hans b/1823 -- Hanna b/1825 -- Mons -Anna b/1828 -Jons b-1830 - Ola b/1833 - Hanna b/1836 -- Kjersti - b 1839 - Bengt - b 1843 and another Bengt - b - 1845 -- The second Bengt and Hanna -b 1836 and my grandfather Mons came to the U.S. as far I think the rest stayed in Sweden - There must be relatives down from some of these Great Aunts and Uncles of mine.. I hope to find them. My nephew Jim Wilkinson is also on this forum and is helping me get started. He will be with me along with his daughter Kristin in July. We also are looking for someone to help us find the churches and graves while in the area.
