Hej Ingemar och Göran. Trots att jag kan litte Svenska, it's much quicker for me to write in English. You can continue to post in Swedish as I can understand it without any problem. I may be able to assist with the Eolus question. In 1975 I sailed from Sydney to Singapore on Eolus and have kept quite a large file on her as well as making contact with several of the crew from that time including one of the owners and the daughter of another owner.
I can with almost 100% certainty state that the Eolus in Malta was built in Pukavik in 1948/9. She was a sister ship to Orion (1945/6), (now EARL OF PEMBROKE in the UK). Ive been unable to find any official reference to a 1909 Eolus.
The following is the best info I've found
Orion
3m schooner 180.36 br.t 1945
Oskarshamn
RL Persson
A. Wingren
Ariel
3m Schooner 256.35 br.t 1947
Oskarshamn
FT Jackson
A. Wingren
Eolus
3m Schooner 261.63 br.t 1948
Oskarshamn
T. Jackson
A. Wingren
She is listed in the Danish Ship lists of 1966 to 1969.
I have photographs of her re-rigging as a Barquentine in Ramsgate and her voyage to Sydney and Singapore. I then lost her but, after contact with one of the then owner's daughter, I can confirm that she sailed on and suffered a fire in the Suez Canal, eventually arriving at Malta where she sank, the ship that is, not the daughter!
There is a reference to her in the newspaper Sudöstran
