Thank you so much.  that is so satisfying to finally track her down.  i didn't know if she went to America died or what.
one question though, what is in Lindhult Habo?  there seems to be a bunch of people there.  Factory, School, Prison?
Thanks Again

Lindhult is a village in Habo and Lena Nilsdotter worked as a maid on a large farm there.

Thank you very much.
Once you gave me her locating in Habo in then in Bankyard I was able to piece the rest of her life together. I have been trying to finish out my GGfathers family for a while now and with help from here I had everyone done but her. with your help, it is satisfying to finally have that done.

You are correct. Matilda did go to America as well as three of her brothers.  I was able to track her down yesterday and I believe that she married a JA Carlson in Illinois.  that is as far as I got before my wife called me because I was late to taking her to her birthday dinner (I get lost in time going research)

I hope to be able to track down Matilde’s brothers as well. it seems they left, but then maybe didn’t, but then left again. I don’t know, still trying to untangle that, and when they get to America, it is trial and error until I find the correct people because of the name changes and such.  sometime young men such as these just disappear in the system in the united states because we only do 10-year snapshots as opposed to Sweden that does a yearly house examination.

I will let you know my progress if you wish.

Thanks again,
Pete

Per, I am glad to here that my research has helped you to solve a peace of your history.

In this case, with help from the census 1860-1930 i Arkiv Digital all in one, it was easy to fined her
in Bankeryd and then follow her back to Habo.

Best Regards
Anders
