Nilsson, Håkan and Christiandotter, Maria Högseröd Skane - Marriage date

Hello,
I could use some help with finding a marriage date for Håkan Nilsson b. 1781-12-14 In Högseröd,Skane and Maria Christiandotter b. 1797 also in Högseröd. I have a listing for one son named; Nils Håkansson b.1825-11-28. Did they have more children? I would also like to learn about both of their parents. I do search on the DDSS website and Ancestry.com but have not been sucessful as yet.  This is my husband's family. He is first generation born in the U.S. and as of late become very interested in family history. His parents never talked about home or family.  We would appreciate any information available.  Thanks

Where is Nils born? At least not in Högseröd, as far I can find.DDSS indexes are far from complete.
Swedish Church records online are at Genline.com and SVAR.ra.se  (subscription)  
What is your source for the births of his parents?

My mistake.  Nils was born in Höserud, Malmöhus,  My source was Ancestry.com message board for Skåne for both Nils and his parents. The message stated it was from the Hous-hold records. Now that I have read the message again, I see that Nils had 7 siblings.  It also show the birth dates for both his parents as previously stated.  Does this infromation help?

Not strange I didn't find Nils´birth, because at the message board for Skåne county it is said  in one posting 1828, Nov 25, Högserud (!!) I can't find it in Högseröd either. Suggest you ask the submitter of that information what a source she had .... (kiki0128)  
Notations in clerical surveys can be incorrect.

I also found much of the church records from Högseröd  were destroyed in a fire 1889. End of story??

Of course, I do not for sure know, if I have given you the right family.  
But I started with the son Nils born 01/02/1861 in Löberöd, Hammarlunda.  
There was a note in the house-hold record which said page 653 in Hammarlunda A1:8 1861-1865. The father was Nils Håkansson born 11/28/1825 in Höxeröd parish and the mother Eline Svensdotter born 02/04/1828 in Qviinge parish.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, this is the correct family. With the correct parrish you found Nils' birth, is it now possible to locate information on Håkan Nilsson and Maria Christiandotter's parents? The link listed above is correct.  Also, I received additional data from: genforum.genealogy.com/sweden/messages/32210.html- dated 25 Mar 2009.  It was posted by a Judy Baouab.  This one had Nils Håkanson's birth date(1825) and place of birth as Hammarlunda. Also information about his wife Johanna Nilsson and some of their children.

Nils birth is in the book of births for Högseröd on February 28, 1825.
pg 178, GID  1269.5.21900. So Nov. 28 is not correct, and you can never trust a clerical survey re a birth datee.

Håkan born in Westraby (today Västraby) and his wife Maria Larsdotter (!!!) in Battahus -- both places within the parish of Högseröd.

Bo, thank you so much for your replies.  Here in the U.S. we found a lot of mistakes especially with name spelling.  I was told it had to do with either the census taker or the person being listed didn't know how to spell.  So we do run into lots of errors.  On your second message, you listed Maria surname as Larsdotter. I received a message from the Skåne message board stating it was Christiandotter. I'm guessing it was wrong.  Have a great day!

Yes it was Larsdotter, very clear in the clerical survey I referred to.

I realize that some years have passed since the last message in this thread. I am related to Håkan Nilsson and Anna Larsdotter, and I am currently in touch with his decendants, my relatives, in Montana, USA. We are together trying to find the parents of Håkan Nilsson and Anna Larsdotter. How can we do that, as the earlier church records were lost in a fire? Is there any chance to find them?
