August Hjalmar Frykberg, b. 1872, Rams, Varmland

I am trying to find wife #1 of my GG.Grandfather, August Hjalmar Frykberg. He was
born 1872-02-02, Rams. Wife #2 was Johanna Matilda Fagrell, wife #3 was Augusta
Neomi Nilsson.  
If anyone has access to this information, or is researching the same family, I would really
appreciate it.

According to the 1890 Census (Folkräkning) August Hjalmar, then 18 years old was still unmarried and lived with his parents and siblings at Åkerhöjden in Räm parish (now called Rämmen)in Värmland.

Yes, I have that info, thanks.  He married his 2nd wife in 1894(My G.G.Grandmother), in 1894.  So, he must have married wife #1 between 1891-1893.

How do you know that his 1894 wife is his second wife? He was then rather young, 22, to be married twice already.

Yes, he was rather young.  I do have info from a very reliable source that he was married in 1894.  (A very distant cousin of mine and  Johanna Matilda Fagrell told me so.  My G. Grandmother, Ellen Matilda Frykberg was born in 1896, and her sister, Hildur, was born in 1895. (Johanna's Mother)  It's only a process of elimination... He was single in the 1890 census, he had to have married pre-1895, in order for Johanna to have given birth to Hildur & Ellen.  Plus, I was given info from a family member, confirming that he had 3 wives.  It is very confusing.  I wish I had a name to wife #1.!

August Hjalmar was my Great-Grandfather too, and Augusta Neomi Nilsson was my great-grandmother (via their daughter Gerdis Dagmar, born in Vancouver).  I can see no trace of a wife before Johanna Fagrell - he is listed as unmarried in the household examination records and Censuses in Rämmen until he left for Dalarna in April 1894, the year he married J.M.F.
 
However, August and Johanna had three daughters together, the youngest being Gerda Eugena, born 1898, as you probably have seen in the 1900 census.  I had always assumed she had died before the family emmigrated to Canada in 1905.  However, for some reason she went to live with her grandfather, Jan Olof Frykberg when the rest of the family went to Canada.   Maybe family history was confused and it was a third daughter refered to?
 
Gerda Eugena grew up in the same household and her aunt and uncle  (It looks like August's sister married Johanna's brother).  She married Karl Henning Hero in April 1919, before giving birth to a son, Karl Erik Hero (1919-1999, unmarried).

She may have died shortly thereafter, as I can find no trace of her in later records, and Karl Henning Hero married again in 1921
