I am from United States. How would I go about finding old Cemeteries where my ancestors came from. My great grandmother lived in Södra Vi, Kalmar and my great grandfather lived in Little Fagerhult, Hassleby

Most graves in Sweden are not for ever - they are reused after a certain amout of time. But if you have the names and approximate birth dates of your ancestors someone here can find out who they were and who their families were.

Leonard, if your great grandmother lived in Södra Vi village itself, the cemetery is smack bang in the middle of the village along with the church. I have a lot of relatives there since my grandmother's parents were both from Södra Vi. I don't visit there often but one of my aunts is quite knowledgeable so I can always try to help.  
 
You can also try the local heritage society - funnily enough, one of their most famous members who wrote about the area was the late Leonard Karlsson:

I do not know when she died
 
I don't know how the cemetery system works in Sweden but when I was researching my grandparents in Norway I was able to locate the records of who was paying for their graves. Does it work that way in Sweden as well? I really appreciate any help that anyone can give.

I cannot find your gg grandmother in that same death index though...
Here in Sweden the graves are kept as long as there is somebody who pays for them. They are not kept forever, as they are in many countries.

As he was a married man when he passed away, his wife was still living at the time of his death. These records (the death index) are not complete - but maybe somebody else can help who has access to other sources - good luck!

So presumably he would have been buried in Aneboda? Do you know who to contact to find out if there is still someone paying? I have tried to search for who keeps records of these things but haven't had any luck. Do you know of what churches would be or have been in that area?
