Is there any hope of establishing contact with living relatives of a Swedish immigrant to the US when all I have is a name, approximate date, and possible location at death?
 
The Swedish family name is Källström.  I have reason to believe John Källström lived in Sweden, or was at least born there.  I also have the name L. J. Kjallstrom, who might be the same as John, or possibly John's son.  Possibly John stayed behind.  The only date I have is 1886, and I do not know its significance.    
 
I believe L. J. might have lived in the state of Iowa at his death.  
 
Nothing else to go on.  This is my first attempt at tracing ancestry.  Any suggestions will be welcome. It is okay to respond in Swedish.  However, please keep it simple because time has erased much.
