Does anyone know of an online map of Stockholm parishes, particularly in the mid 1700s?  I have ancestors that were married in Ulrika Eleonora (Kungsholm) parish, and whose children were baptized in Katarina parish.  So I would assume that they lived in or near these parishes.  But I haven't found them in any household examination records.  To avoid looking in all of the Stockholm parishes, it would be nice to get an idea of the other nearby parish names.

This isn't ideal since it is a modern map of the  parishes of Stockholm and it's pretty small but take a look at http://www.usk.stockholm.se/internet/omrfakta/omradesviseng.asp?omrade=25

You can at least get a sense of the relative locations of parishes and what the neighboring parishes are.

For example, Kungsholm parish (#131 on the map) is bordered by St. Göran parish (#132) on the west, by Adolf Fredrik parish (#112), Gustav Vasa parish (#113) and Matteus parish (#114) to the north, and Domkyrko parish (#101) on the east. Högalid parish (#142) is to the south but is located on the far side of a body of water, a part of Lake Mälaren known as Riddarfjärden.

Maybe it will work for you.

In this http://www.stockholm.se/files/99100-99199/file_99123.pdf on page 6 you will find a map from 1905 showing parishes of Stockholm.

And on http://www.stockholmskallan.se/index.php?sokning=3&id=1190188330227 if you in the drop-down menu Välj karta (Choose Map) choose 1751 års karta (Map from year 1751).
It looks like S:t Göran parish doesn't yet exist in the middle of 1700s

I hope this will give you a picture of Stockholm at the middle of 1700s

Anna
