William E. Smith

Seeking descendents of Anders and Kristina (Blomström) Skög living on  Moriansfor farm  in Brunskog in 1880.  They had six children.  The three youngest, Anders (my grandfather), Anna Kristina, and Karl Emil emigrated to the U.S.  I believe the older three, Augusta, Maria and Johannes stayed in Sweden.  It is their descendents I am seeking.

I think the name should be Skog, not Skög.

Probably there needs to be more information on this family, such as birthdates and birth parishes. Is this the same family? What do you know about the ones not listed here?

The first FAQ on this page provides ideas on how to find living relatives in Sweden.

I looked for the deaths of the children of Maria
Skog since I know her children belong to you. I didn't know if the other Skogs were yours, so I didn't look for those children. I only found one of Maria Skog's children.

Maybe of some help:

Here the household record for the family 1881-1890

So there were 7 children to Anders Nilsson Skog and Christina Blomström.
Anders Nilsson Skog died april 15 1886.
Augusta moved to Borgvik (S) in nov. 1887
Maria Skog from Moriansfors to Spångedal nov 1889 and from there back to her mother in 1890. In 1891 to Arvika(S)
Johannes Skog to Spångedal as farmhand nov. 1890 back to his mother in 1893. He may have followed MAria to Arvika.

Thank you Judy and Olle for your responses.  Spent today with local Swedish geneologist I met last week at geneology club.  We developed much the same data you provided.  And Judy, your are right.  The name is Skog.  Confirmed that via copy of Anna Christina's passport she had to get after visiting her mother and then returning to the U.S.  I need to digest the information I got today, and then go through what you two have given me.  And, yes, you've hit the right family.  Looks like I can go backwards in time very well; did a lot today via Genline that my friend has access to.  But moving forward to current time is still a puzzle I need to solve.  Thanks again, and I hope we can do more within a few days.
